The Tamil Language Festival 2023 will take place from 1 April to 30 April. Featuring the theme of ‘Beauty’, the festival will feature 42 programmes by 43 partners, as the community comes together to celebrate and promote the Tamil language in Singapore.
Tamil Vazhthu Lyrics Competition
- The competition is open for submission of entries from 1 April 2023, 9.00pm to 30 June 2023, 12.00pm (Singapore Time)
- To submit a valid entry for the Contest, you must submit the lyrics in word or pdf format to www.tinyurl.com/tamilvazhthu.
Cash Prize
- 1st – $1500
- 2nd – $1000
- 3d – $500

Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- The relevance to Tamil Language in Singapore
- Originality & innovation
- Submission of lyrics -1 April 2023 – 30 June 2023
- Judging –10 July 2023 – 10 August 2023
- Announcement of Winner(s) -31 August 2023
- Release of song -31 March 2024
