Silver Support (SS) Scheme
The Silver Support (SS) Scheme, a wide range of schemes (e.g. healthcare subsidies, GST voucher) that the Government has put in place in recent years to give seniors greater assurance in retirement.
**Silver Support will be enhanced in 2025**
Who’re eligible for the Silver Support Scheme?
Singapore Citizen aged 65 and above, you’ll automatically qualify whenever to meet all of the following criteria:
- Low lifetime wages
- Housing type
- Low household income
Low lifetime wages:
- The total CPF contributions you made by age 55 is up to $140,000.
- Total CPF contributions refer to the total sum in your Ordinary and Special accounts, including withdrawals for housing, education, and investment.
- Self-employed individuals can have an average annual net trade income of up to $27,600 between the ages of 45 and 54.
Housing type:
- You must live in a 1- to 5-room HDB flat.
- You or your spouse do not own a 5-room or larger HDB flat, private property or multiple properties.
Low household income:
- You live in a household with a monthly income per person of up to $1,800.
Benefits of Silver Support benefits
Each year in December, you’ll receive a notification letter and payments automatically every subsequent quarter if you’re eligible. The amounts depends on your household monthly income per person and type of HDB flat you live in.

ComCare Long Term Assistance Scheme
If you are aged 65 and above, and on the ComCare Long-Term Assistance Scheme, you receive a Silver Support payout of $360 per quarter, regardless of your flat type. The Silver Support payout supplements the monthly cash assistance provided by the ComCare Scheme, which covers your daily living expenses.
ComCare Long Term Assistance beneficiaries also get:
- Medical assistance at polyclinics and government / restructured hospitals.
- Free or highly subsidised access to social support services (e.g. home help, senior activity centres and day activity funded by the government).

How to receive Silver Support payout?

| Have a PayNow account linked to your NRIC | Cash automatically credited into the PayNow-NRIC linked bank account. |
| Don’t have a PayNow account linked to your NRIC but have previously provided your DBS/POSB, OCBC or UOB bank account number to the Government | Cash automatically credited to the known bank account. |
| Don’t have a PayNow account linked to your NRIC and have not provided a bank account to the Government | Cash will be credited to you via GovCash. |
