- Eid, also known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Puasa in Singapore, is celebrated on the first day of Syawal, the tenth month of the Hijri (Islamic) calendar.

- It’s a hectic day the first day after Ramadan. Muslims would go to the mosque and say special prayers on the morning of Hari Raya Puasa to commemorate the completion of the month-long fast.
- Asking elders for forgiveness and paying visits to family and friends are two more customs that have been observed. Most visits start at the parent’s house because it is common practice among Muslims to ask their parents for forgiveness for whatever wrongdoing they may have done in the previous year.
