Savings Bonds are a special type of Singapore Government Securities (SGS) with features that make them suitable for individual investors.

Age at least 18 years old to open an individual CDP Securities account or Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS) account to hold Savings Bonds.

No, CPF funds cannot be used to invest in Savings Bonds.

What is the minimum holding period?

  • To redeem your Savings Bonds as early as the month in which the bond is issued.
  • Redemption proceeds will be paid out by the 2nd business day of the following month.
