Etihad Airways and Emirates Resume Limited UAE to Singapore Flights Amid Middle East Airspace Disruptions

Amid ongoing airspace disruptions caused by the Middle East conflict, Etihad Airways and Emirates have announced the resumption of limited flights from the UAE to Singapore.

With thousands of travellers stranded across the region, governments and airlines are working urgently to restore connectivity and assist passengers.

Limited Flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Etihad Airways has released tickets for flights from Abu Dhabi to Singapore starting March 5. According to checks on the airline’s website, one available flight is scheduled to depart Abu Dhabi at approximately 10:00 PM (local time) and arrive in Singapore at around 9:30 AM the next day.

Ticket prices are significantly higher due to limited availability:

  • Around AED 5,000 for Economy Class
  • Up to AED 20,000 for Business Class

Meanwhile, Emirates flight EK314 is scheduled to depart Dubai at 9:00 PM (local time). Emirates confirmed it is operating a limited number of passenger repatriation and cargo flights.

Advisory from Singapore Embassy

The Singapore Embassy in Abu Dhabi has urged Singaporeans in the UAE to visit airline websites immediately to secure seats, warning that demand is extremely high.

The embassy advised travellers to:

  • Act quickly due to limited seat availability
  • Expect high website traffic and booking delays
  • Reconfirm flight status before heading to the airport
  • Prepare for possible cancellations or last-minute changes

Passengers who had previously registered interest in assisted departure are encouraged to inform the embassy if they successfully secure tickets.

Important Travel Advisory

Emirates has warned passengers not to go to the airport unless:

  • They have received direct notification from the airline, or
  • They hold a confirmed booking.

Travellers should check flight status and monitor email notifications for any schedule changes before travelling to the airport.

UAE Opens Safe Air Corridors

The UAE government has opened safe air corridors in coordination with Gulf countries. The country currently has a handling capacity of 48 flights per hour, according to officials.

However, airlines including Air France, British Airways and Singapore Airlines have temporarily suspended flights to parts of the Middle East.

What Travellers Should Do Now?

  • Check airline websites regularly for updates
  • Secure tickets as soon as they become available
  • Reconfirm flights before departure
  • Avoid heading to the airport without confirmed bookings

With limited services and high demand, travellers are advised to stay alert and act quickly if planning to return to Singapore.
