Procedure to renew Malaysia Passport in Singapore

A Malaysian passport is a legitimate Travel Document given to a citizen of Malaysia for the purpose of leaving the nation. According to the information on the back cover of the passport, it should be renewed six (6) months before it expires. Two methods to renew a passport.

First method:

The application can be submitted online:

  • Fill out the application online here.
  • The processing time takes 8 weeks

The following applicant is eligible for online form submission:

  • Above 13 years old
  • Passport expiring in less than 12 months
  • Passport expired.

Second method:

  • Submission through walk-in
  • It requires an appointment date, which can be done here.

The following applicant is eligible for walk-in:

  • Passport above 12 months validity.
  • Children below 13 years old.
  • Registered OKU – people with disabilities
  • Having a problem renewing online.
  • Received ‘TANGGUH/SIASATAN’ notice
  • Do not receive an appointment date for collection after 8 weeks of my online Passport application.
  • Passport running out of pages.

Documents required on the date of appointment

  • Email Appointment or Online STO Appointment Slip.
  • Printed MyOnline Passport Resit Rasmi.
  • Original Malays is Current Passport
  •  IC/Pass /Work Pass/In-Principle Approval Letter (IPA) issued by ICA or MOM Singapore
  • Malaysia MyKad
  • Two (2) recent color passport size photograph
