Founded in October 2013, The Improv Company has grown to become Singapore’s biggest improvised theatre company and training centre. Began as NUS Stage’s Improvables, a university improv troupe comprising of fun-loving friends. To nurture and champion improv in Singapore by producing professional-quality shows & talent, making improv as a philosophy and practice accessible to everyone in Singapore.

What is Improv?
Improv (short for Improvisational Theatre) is a collaborative method of creating stories on the fly using suggestions from audiences. Improvisers rely on quick thinking, spontaneity, teamwork, and creativity to build entertaining and often hilarious performances. The focus is on collaboration, active listening, and accepting ideas from fellow performers to build a story or scene together.
What’s a Class Cycle?
- Class Cycle, which are roughly two months long. Each year has up to seven Class Cycles, taking a break between mid-Dec & mid-Jan.
- long-term classes roughly 6-8 sessions long. We also organise weekly Taster Sessions for people new to improv to try some activities.
How to join Taster Session, Duration, Fees?
- The improv Taster Sessions at least once a week
- This 2-hour mini-workshop will give attendees a taste of how impro comedy works.
Frequency: At least twice a month
Duration: 2.0 hours
Workshop fee: SGD20.00
TIC offer refunds for their classes?
- Cancellations 14 days or more before the first session = 100% Refund
- Cancellations 5-13 days before the first session = 50% Refund
- Cancellations less than 5 days before the first session = No Refund
How to join TIC part-time Admin / Internship?
For a Part-Time / Intern Administrative Staff to manage day-to-day operations.

- Confident to work independently with initiative
- Min. 3mths attachment
- Singaporean Citizens & PR only
