Voices of Singapore Festival 2024 invites people living in Singapore to join us in our 2024 Festival Choirs for performances at the historic CHIJMES Hall from 2-5 September 2024. This year, we will present 4 Festival Choirs: Virtuosi Festival Choir, Children’s Festival Choir, Silver Festival Choir and Community Festival Choir. Virtuosi Festival Choir Eligibility
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Background as musicians, experienced choristers, music teachers, or conductors
- Proficient in sight-reading music with accurate pitching and rhythm
- Able to sing confidently and maintain strong harmony in 4 parts
- Capable of independently preparing music
Children’s Festival Choir Eligibility
- Applicants aged 8-16, with at least one year of choral experience, singing in parts, and boys with unchanged voices, must receive independent communication.
Silver Festival choir Eligibility
- Singers aged 50 and above, with some prior singing experience preferred, must climb stairs and remain standing during a 60-minute concert due to venue limitations.
Community Festival Choir Eligibility
- The application process requires applicants aged 18 and above to have prior choir experience, and to be able to sing securely in parts with accurate pitching and rhythm.
Virtuosi Festival Choir Dress Code
Ladies: formal full-length black attire with black covered shoes.
Men: black suit with white shirt and black bow tie, black covered shoes.
Children’s Festival Choir Dress Code
- Smart casual attire. Plain solid-coloured top (one colour, without any pattern) with dark-coloured bottom and black covered shoes.
Silver Festival choir Dress Code
- Smart casual attire with any combination of clothing or accessories in black, red, or blue with black covered shoes.
Community Festival Choir Dress Code
- Smart casual attire with any combination of clothing or accessories in black, white and red, with black covered shoes.
