Perspectives Film Festival 2026 returns to Singapore from November 6 to 8, 2026, bringing a unique cinema experience for film lovers and automobile enthusiasts. The 19th edition explores the relationship between cars and cinema through the theme “Under The Hood: Automobility in Cinema.”
Organised by undergraduates from NTU’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, the festival is Singapore’s longest-running student-led film festival. This year’s programme features seven films that explore road trips, car chases, iconic vehicles, freedom, ambition, danger and identity.

The 2026 programme takes audiences beyond conventional car movies, using vehicles and roads to explore different cultures, relationships and human experiences.
The lineup includes:
- Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior – George Miller’s classic post-apocalyptic road film.
- The Wages of Fear – A tense thriller about transporting nitroglycerin through dangerous roads.
- Crash – David Cronenberg’s controversial film centred on car crashes and obsession.
- Luna Papa – A Central Asian journey involving a young woman and her family.
- Perfumed Nightmare – A Filipino film following a jeepney driver dreaming of technological progress.
- Summer Drift – A Swiss-French documentary-fiction film about identity, work and automobiles.
- Kaili Blues – A Chinese road movie combining travel, memory and family.
The Wages of Fear and Crash will be presented in new 4K restorations, giving movie fans another reason to catch the festival on the big screen.

Vroom Room Pre-Festival Event
Before the main festival, Perspectives Film Festival is also hosting Vroom Room at *SCAPE on October 10, 2026.
The free-to-enter activation brings the festival’s automobile theme into the real world with remote-control car racing, film trailers, behind-the-scenes content and festival merchandise. The event runs from 3pm to 9:30pm, with a break between 5:30pm and 6:30pm.

Tickets are available through the official Perspectives Film Festival website. Individual screenings start from S$12, while movie fans can choose the S$33 three-film bundle or S$70 festival pass. Tickets can also be purchased at the door if seats remain available.
