VSMC has officially opened its first 300mm wafer fabrication plant in Singapore, marking a major step for the country’s semiconductor manufacturing industry. Located in Tampines, the new facility is expected to begin volume production in the first quarter of 2027 and reach full capacity by 2029.
VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) is a specialty semiconductor foundry joint venture between Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) and NXP Semiconductors. The new facility is designed to manufacture specialty semiconductors for automotive, industrial, consumer, mobile and high-performance computing applications.
